Note, if you do not have an email address associated with your account, you will need to activate your online account. Click ‘Activate’ on the Sign-in window, enter your email address, account number and create a password.

Make a payment?

Make sure we have your current email address on file so you don’t miss important information about your subscription. Regarding delivery, how do I:

Find out when my first issue will arrive?
Your first issue should arrive approximately 4 to 6 weeks after we receive your order. If it’s been more than 6 weeks and you still haven’t received an issue, please Contact Us to let us know.

Report a missing or damaged issue?
Unfortunately, missed or damaged issues do sometimes happen and we regret any inconvenience this may cause you. Please Contact Us to let us know which issue you’re missing.

Switch my subscription from digital-only to print? 
If you are a current digital-only subscriber and wish to begin receiving the print edition, please Contact Us to make the upgrade.

Temporarily stop delivery?
To temporarily stop delivery, please Contact Us to make your request. Your subscription will automatically be extended to compensate for unmailed issues.

Stop receiving duplicate issues?
If you are receiving duplicate copies of the same magazine, please Contact Us to let us know so that we can combine and extend your subscription. Because our mailing labels are printed in advance, you may receive one or two duplicate issues before your request takes effect.

Regarding purchases, how do I:

What is included in The Hockey News digital subscription?
The Hockey News digital subscription includes one-year access to The Hockey News App, which is optimized and enhanced specially for mobile devices and tablets, and the Zinio digital replica edition on the zinio newsstand.

What is The Hockey News App?
The Hockey News App has the same content as print, plus great interactive features such as video, audio, expandable features, bonus photo galleries, issue-at-a-glance, and much more. It is formatted for smaller devices to provide you with an ideal reading experience and allows you to take The Hockey News with you. As well, you have the choice to toggle between the easy-read mode and the magazine PDF mode so you can enjoy the magazine in whichever format you prefer, on an article-to-article basis. 

Where can I download The Hockey News App?
You can download The Hockey News App for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play

What is included with the free app downloaded from the App store?
There is a free sampler issue in the app for you to explore. Also, the app gives you the ability to purchase each digital issue or purchase an annual subscription. You’ll receive notifications when new issues become available and downloaded issues are accessible through the app.

How is The Hockey News App different from the print edition?
The Hockey News App issues include everything from the print edition and may contain added content including videos and other interactive elements.

I’m a subscriber to The Hockey News print edition. Do I get free access to the digital issues within the The Hockey News app as part of my subscription?
Yes, all members can access digital editions on their Apple and Android devices.  

I’m a subscriber to The Hockey News print edition. How do I access the digital editions?
Check out our How-To Guide on How To Access The Digital Editions of The Hockey News
or follow these easy steps to install the app on your device: On your device, download and open The Hockey News app. You will find the app in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

  • Upon launch, tap on ‘Account’ tab
  • Tap on ‘Sign In’
  • Tap on ‘Print + Digital Subscriber’
  • Enter your email address, tap ‘Continue’
  • Create a password
  • Tap on the ‘Library’ tab to access your issues

(Only issues that are included in your subscription will be available for download.)

I’m a print subscriber but am getting a “Sorry, your email address/password cannot be located” message when I try to log-in. How can I verify my print subscription?
It can take up to 48 hours for a new print subscription to load into our system once it arrives at our processing center. Once your data has entered the system, you will be able to access your subscription. If you are still having difficulty, you can verify the status of your subscription by calling our print magazine customer care center at 1 (888) 470-6087 or emailing [email protected].

Can I replace my print subscription with The Hockey News app?
Not at this time. The app is set up to recognize print subscribers to access issues, but we are currently unable to take a subscription off of one database and place it on the other.

Can I subscribe to just The Hockey News Magazine app?
Yes. An annual subscription costs $29.95 and entitles you to download every issue for the next year, starting with the most recent issue. If you enable push notifications for the app, we will let you know when new issues become available. Click here to subscribe today! 

Are back issues included in my Digital subscription?
No, you will only have access to the issues from the start of your subscription onwards and issues published prior to 2017. We relaunched our app on November 1, 2019, and only issues dating back two years were included in this new build. Each issue you download is stored on your device and accessible through the app. All your available issues are archived in your digital library within the app where you can re-download onto your devices at no-additional charge.

I purchased my subscription directly through the iTunes or Google app store, and I don’t see the issues I’ve previously purchased. How can I fix this?
If the issues you’ve purchased are not available for download, first make sure you’re on the same iTunes or Google Play account you originally purchased the issues with. You can restore your purchases by completing the following steps within the app:

  • Tap on ‘Account’ tab
  • Tap on ‘Restore Purchases’
  • Tap ‘Restore’
  • Go to ‘Library’ tab
  • Download your purchases again

I purchased my subscription directly through iTunes or Google Play, please explain their auto-renewal subscriptions?
The subscription you purchased through iTunes or Google Play will automatically continue unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your credit card will automatically be charged for another subscription period at the current subscription price. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your iTunes or Google Play Account Settings after purchase. Subscriptions cannot be cancelled during the active subscription period. 

What is included if I purchase my subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play App Store directly?
If you purchased your subscription through the Apple App store directly, you will only have access to The Hockey News app editions through The Hockey News Magazine app on your mobile device or tablet. The Zinio replica edition will unfortunately not be included as part of your subscription.

Do I need to be connected to the Internet to read my issues?
You need to be online to download your issues. Once downloaded you can read your issue offline, however any web links or web-hosted videos will not work.

What can I do if I’m having trouble downloading some issues?
Ensure that you have the latest version of our app from the App Store. If you are still experiencing problems, please delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store.

What can I do if I can’t find the answer I am looking for?
We’ve answered some of your most frequently asked questions. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact Customer Service by email at [email protected] 

Apple App Store Subscribers: if you purchased your subscription through Apple App Store directly and have an issue that is related to the functions or technicality of the app, please contact Customer Service above. However, if your issue is related to your subscription or account, we do not have your information on file and will not be able to look up your subscription in anyway. Please contact Apple support by clicking here.
